In honor of prom season. This was my senior prom of 2012, My best friend’s prom was today and I was like hey I wonder how my prom dress fits me. In the before picture I was probably around 290 the prom dress is a size 24 I believe and was tailored to fit me just perfect. I tried it on today, and I literally had to hold it up so it didn’t fall down to my belly button. And damn this dress looks 15x better now. Just a new before and after for ya’ll. First picture 290ish, second picture 263.
Height: 5’4” (163 cm)
SW: 200 lbs (90 kg)
Left pic`: 180 lbs (82 kg)
Right pic: 160 lbs (73 kg)
Hello flatter tummy and short shorts (XL to M) ^
It took me almost 10 months to get this way. I didn’t only lose weight, I lost my horrible eating habits and negative thoughts about myself. I exercised 3-5 times a week and ate clean 80% of the time.
Nothing felt better than being able to fit into clothes and walking around without the irrational fear that someone might see all my fat hanging out.
If I can do it SO CAN YOU.
White privilege is my white English teacher going on about how much she loves the 1920’s era because it was so “fun and liberating” (we’re currently studying The Great Gatsby) and talking about how it was a time of gradual change towards equal rights for women, while completely ignoring that this ‘equality’ was basically white feminism and excluded WOC. White privilege is forgetting that the 20’s was actually the rise of white supremacy, where the KKK had it’s highest number of members and when books such as The Rising Tide of Color Against White World-Supremacy were published. White privilege is my white English teacher looking at me in astonishment when I answer sheepishly that I would not want to live in 1920’s America, and her not understanding why.
